Default Highlighting in Excel

I have created a graph that has a row of dates for the next 5 months. I would
like to create this document in such a way that every single day I open the
document on my computer, the particular cell with the date of the current day
is highlighted for me and only on that day. Can this be done?

By graph do you mean chart?

If your dates are on an Excel worksheet then you can use conditional
formatting on the cells containing the dates and use the formula
=TODAY() and choose the highlight format you want...
