Default formula for coping a cell from a diffent sheet

i would like to copy a cell from a different sheet onto the one sheet i am
viewing
is there a formula for that?

the cell contains TEXT or a word not a number also

Default formula for coping a cell from a diffent sheet

You can't copy by formula, but you can link by formula:

=Sheet3!B9

will display the value in B9 on Sheet3

Be sure to remember that a blank in B9 will display as 0 in the display cell.

Default formula for coping a cell from a diffent sheet

You can actually copy it that way without any typing, especially handy if
you want to do more than one cell

Copy the cell/cells, got to where you want it and do editpaste special and
select paste link
