Default Combo boxes Help needed.

I set up a list form for data entry on the Quik Access Toolbar and it works
fine, but I thought it would be nicer if I could set up a Combo box to save
having to type in the same things over and over ( like city, state, age
group,etc. ).
When I set up the list form it worked fine but when I went to the Quik
Access Toolbar and loaded the Combo box (form control) the icon appears
alright on the Quik Access menu but when I click on it the way I do the form
icon nothing happens.
Can anybody help?
