Default Nesting Problem

Does anyone know how I can get information from a range of cells more than
nine rows?
Example
If a name shows up within a few ranges from range 1 D9 through D20 and or
range 2 D30 through D50 and or range 3 D60 through D80 then enter whatever
is in cell a5.

One way, in say, B5:
=IF(OR(COUNTIF(D9:D20,"Name"),COUNTIF(D30:D50,"Nam e"),COUNTIF(D60:D80,"Name")),A5,"")
