Default can i retrieve a document once it has been cut and moved

The document was then saved over on the network, is there any chance that it
could still be on my computer somewhere?
Any help would be great

you might check with the IT people. some networks have a salvage files
feature that retrieves previous versions of a file. also, ask if the network
gets backed up periodically - the older version of your file could be on a
tape backup. did you email the file to anyone - that would be another place
to check.
