Default header and footer view

Can I view my header and footer on the normal page view? I can view it in
the print preview but would like it to be visable on the normal page view?
If this is possible could someone please tell me how I can make it visable?

You are wishing for some Word-like feature, but it isn't available in older
Excel versions. I think it is just XL 2007 that introduced the ability to
enter & edit headings and footers in the page layout view
