Default Dynamic named ranges - they don't seem to stick

I'm having some difficulty with a workbook that I've been sent. I'm trying
to set up some dynamic named ranges and I've done it 100's of times, so this
isn't new to me. Sometimes when I type CTRL G and the named range, it
selects it and sometimes it doesn't (same worksheet). Has anyone seen this
before and what should I do to address it?

Thanks
Barb Reinhardt
