I accidently saved a file to the wrong workbook in Excel and have lost the
info in the workbook. Is there a way to unsave the data so that I can
retrieve the correct data in the workbook?

Not without a backup of the original file

Sorry to say it, but the original is gone.

Just for info.

A "File" is a "Workbook"

So what you really did is saved workbook B as workbook A?

The original workbook A now has the data from workbook B
