Default Hiding Rows makes entire sheet disappear

I am trying to hide only a few rows in my document. Imagine my suprise when
the entire sheet disappears...I can't do anything at that point except close
the program. It doesn't allow me to undo or anything.

Anyone have any ideas?

press CTRL + G (goto)

go to a cell, for example, A1.

Then format-rows-unhide. You might try to go to Format--Rows--unhide even
before you use the CTRL+G.
