Default lost info

I was working on an Excel 2007 document, but saved it as the older version
because I have to email it to someone else. Before closing out, I reopened
it to make sure it was still OK, and it was. Now when I open it, there's
nothing there. Any ideas of what I can do to get it back? I've already
checked recent changes, recycle bin, and every folder possible, everywhere
that I find it, it's empty. Help!!
