Default how to make Excel linked to SQL Server 2005 worksheet editable?

I have Excel 2007 workbook which is linked to SQL Server 2005 using sql
server connection (odc) file. but i can't update the records in excel file. I
would like to update records or delete them

is it possible to make it editable?
if yes, how to do that?
