Hi,
I have an excel problem that has me pretty stumped. I am trying to build a worksheet that pulls data from one of several other workbooks. The problem is that these other workbooks (about 80 of them) are all formatted slightly differently. For example, i want to pull a "Price" column from each, however in one file that could be col A but in another that could be col F. Is there a way to link these based on column name rather than cell ref? As a follow-up to that, is there a way to make the sheet into a kind of template whereby I can type the location of the target file in one cell, the name of the sheet in another and it would then automatically pull a named column from that particular worksheet. To be honest this second part sounds like a bit of a stretch but I would have thought the first part should be doable. Thanks in advance Jimmy |
