Default Protection and inserting rows

I would like to be able to copy a protected row and insert the copied cells
into protected area. Here is an example
LINE MOLD C.O.C. COLOR
1 43.p.0001.001 MCL025
2 41 #N/A
3 52 #N/A

The color column is protected because it has a specific formula to lookup
the appropriate color. What I would like to do is copy say line 2 and insert
it in between lines 2 and 3 without unprotecting the worksheet. I am not
sure how or if this is possible without using a macro. Thanks in advance for
the help.

Travis.
