Hello
I'm using Excel 2000, I have a spreadsheet with several sheets and each has a subtotal summary report. Subtotals were done using the Menu selection: Data -- Subtotal -- make selections. Only one of the spreadsheets has a large report, over 30K rows. After I save and close the report if I need to re-open it takes a long time to re-open. It's as if Excel is redoing the subtotaling routines. Is there any way to maintain the summaries, but speed up the opening of the spreadsheet file? Thanks |

Be warned tho ... this can be confusing ... you enter things, expect the answer in the target cells, and have forgotten to recalculate. :) |

Sorry, I should have stated I did try changing to manual calculation w/o
success. "Bruce Sinclair" wrote: In article , ?B?SkhM?= wrote: Hello I'm using Excel 2000, I have a spreadsheet with several sheets and each has a subtotal summary report.
