I am using MS Query to import external data. The number of rows imported
changes (inceases/decreases) based on user defined criteria. I import into columns A-D but have a many columns linking to the data using formulas In excel 97-2003 there was a useful little piece of functionality that allowed you to fill adjacent formulas so as the extrnal data range expanded/contracted the adjacent formuals and hence named rnages would also do the same. Does the same functionality exist in Excel 2007. I can't find it anywhere. |

I'm not familiar with what you mention in your post, but Microsoft has
published a handy flash tool that let's you show it where you would look for a function in xl2003 and it then shows you where it is located in xl2007. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ex...CH100648241033 "JamesH81" wrote: I am using MS Query to import external data. JNW,
Thanks for your response. I've taken a look at the flash help and it doesn't allow you to get to the tick box to select fill adjacent formuals in 2003. Thus, it won't show me where it is in 2007. Hi Niek,
Thanks for your message. I have tried this but the functionality doesn't seem to make any difference to the list length of the adjacent formulas. Perhaps I don't have something set up properly or have missed something Cheers James "Niek Otten" wrote: Office button (large round, top left), Excel Options, Advanced tab, check Extend Data range formats and formulas -- Kind regards, Niek Otten Microsoft MVP - Excel "JamesH81" wrote in message ... |I am using MS Query to import external data.
