Default excel formula question

I am trying to create a formula where I have a yearly cost and I want to add
inflation adjustment each year over around 20 years and find the total cost
for 20 years. Anyone know how to do that? Thank you.

Default excel formula question

Try

=1000*(1+3%)^20

Where
1000 is the present value
3% = inflation
term 20 yrs
