Default Help making a time card

I am trying to make a time card for work- there maybe one on line already but
I haven't looked. What I need help with is how do I format the cell where it
adds up how many hours you worked that day. Example, first cell has you came
in at 8 am, next cell you left at 5, now how do I make the next cell
calculate you worked 8 hours.?
