Default Greyed out area on the spreadhseet

On various occasions, I receive an xl file where I can only view very few
columns & rows, all other are blocked ( solid grey area ). My question how I
can make all columns & rows visible, secondly how it was done in the first
place ?

Maybe the grey area is just colored grey.

Uncolor them.

Maybe that area is just Hidden.

CTRL + a to select all then FormatColumnUnhide

Tell us what you tried.

You had several suggestions.

What does nothing "really" worked mean?

Did anything "partly" or "sort of" work?
