Hi Everyone!
This is a time sensitive issue for me, so I'd appreciate a response asap I made a scatter plot graph and added a trendline. I want to know how I can extrapolate points on that trendline. For instance, I want to show that at 24 mm on the x axis I obtain 2000 bp on the y axis. How do you do this exel? Is there such a way to add values to your graph without screwing up the trendline. -- Thanks Saied |

An option on a trendline is to forecast forward and backward from the
endpoints. Alternatively you can use TREND() in the worksheet, or calculate your SLOPE() and INTERCEPT() and calculate values. If you plot these in the chart, plot them in a new series. - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Tutorials and Custom Solutions Peltier Technical Services, Inc. - http://PeltierTech.com _______ "Saied" wrote in message ... Hi Saied,
Yes, you can definitely extrapolate points on a trendline in Excel. Here's how you can do it:
