When an Excel 2003 or 2007 pivot table accesses Analysis Services cube,
sometimes instead of eliminating empty rows on the server, it downloads all the permitations onto the local machine and does the elemination process. It carries on forever on almost 100% CPU usage (especially if two dimensions which are crossed are fairly large). Even explecitly aggregating that combination on the cube does not make Excel change its mind. Is there any fix or workaround for that? Any feedback is greatly appreciated.Kind regards, Dmitri |
