=IF(ISNUMBER(MATCH(B1,Sheet2!$A$1:$A$3,0)),"X","")
-- --- HTH Bob (there's no email, no snail mail, but somewhere should be gmail in my addy) "Phxlatinoboi®" wrote in message ... I need help with an "if" formula. I have a spreadsheet that in column a it lists the employee's name and then in column b it lists the date the employee was at work. On a different spreadsheet i have listed a row of scheduled days of work. I would like to have on this spreadsheet to make an X if the employee has that date next to the name. How can I do this?
