When entering a date into Excel 2007 the values for the month & day are
automatically reversed. This has only begun happening recently, not sure when & don't want to open other spreadsheets & possibly create the same problem. The problem seems to be related to the date formatting. It happens with each formatting choice. Although formatting is set using "/", it is returned with "-". Example: choose 4/1/08 as April 1 2008, enter your date & it is entered as 1-4-08 as January 4 2008. It seems that the problem only happens when a May 2008 entry is being made. However the "-" format is throughout, any date. Have tried it with a new spreadsheet with the same results. Have been using Excel for at least 20 years. The spreadsheet in question was upgraded to 2007 (xlxs) early March 2007. Is there a known problem with a recent update perhaps? |

Good call. Hadn't thought of that, obviously. Apparently SP1 changed those
settings. Thank you very much. Arnold "Gord Dibben" wrote: What is the short date setting in Windows Control PanelRegional and Language Settings formatted as?
