Default saving a spreadsheet in a .wk1 format?

Hi
I really need some help here as this is important for my work.

I was able to save my spreadsheets in a .wk1 format using the 2003 version.
However it seems the 2007 version does not support this file format?

Is there a way i can do this in my 2007 version of excel? or should i go
back to using the 2003 version?
