Default Date in formula

Hi All,
I need your help in showing me how to put a date in the formula, for
instance:
=If(A2<4/01/2008,"old","ok")
I know I can't just put a date there, I think there must be something at
each ends of the date.

Here is one more way...

=IF(A2<DATE(2008,4,1),"old","ok")
