Is there a list or even a guideline on what excel formulas are allowed when
creating a Calculated Field in Pivot Tables? For example, I want to use the TODAY() function in the pivot table, but I keep receiving errors. Is there a way to use a function that operates like the TODAY or NOW functions within the Calculated Fields? Thanks, Brandon |

Volatile functions are not allowed. The power of pivot tables and cubes in
general is that they pre-aggregate the values so that when you request the data it does not need to perform any mathematical functions. Since volatile functions are constantly changing they are not allowed. -- HTH...
