How can I sort an Excel Doc containing merged & non-merged cells?
I have a doc that contains both merged and unmerged cells and need to be able
to sort it alphabetically. When I try, I get a message saying that all merged cells need to be sized identically. I have tried resizing the cells, but this does not solve the problem. Any suggestions? |

They cause more problems than this. - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Tutorials and Custom Solutions Peltier Technical Services, Inc. - http://PeltierTech.com _______ "KellyH" wrote in message ... Getting rid of merged cells causes you to lose data. I am using a template
and didn't merge any cells. didn't even know there were any merged cells until I had entered ALL the data and tried to sort. "FSt1" wrote: hi might be best to get rid of the merged cells. data in a merged cell will be retained in the top left cell of the unmerged cells that had been merged. - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Tutorials and Custom Solutions Peltier Technical Services, Inc. - http://PeltierTech.com _______ "BarbMac" wrote in message ...
