Default how to see file details without opening each folder

can anyone tell me if there is a way in windows xp when looking at file lists
in explorer to see details of all files without having to open each folder

Default how to see file details without opening each folder

How exactly is Windows supposed to display file details if you don't
open the folder in details view? If you export the contents of a Drive
wide DIR to a text file you can look at the text file and see the file
details.
