I have seen many posts on how to delete multiple records in excel. My
situation is a little different. I have five columns of data in my sheet. I have many duplicate records where all four colums are the same, however the fifth colum of data is different--hence checking the "unique records only" box will not work, because the fifth column has a different value. Let's say I have 7 records are all identical in four colunms but differ in the fifth column, which happens to be "street name". I'd like to keep the first instance and delete/hide the other occurences. Any recommendations..without having to download 3rd party software? many thanks, -- Rwb |
