Copy data from other worksheet based on column header
Hello:
I'm working on creating a reporting tool to summarize information from several spreadsheets. I'd like it to take information from one column, based on the header, on the source worksheet and paste it into the header row of the report worksheet that matches. The number of columns may change from sheet to sheet, but the header names will be limited in their criteria and will be a string match for one on the report worksheet which will have all the options in separate columns. Each worksheet is specific to one of our programs. The variable columns pertain to which staff person is involved in the implementation activities of that program; some programs may only have 2 staff while others may involve up to 20. Therefore, it could be as few as two additional columns or as many as 20. Is there a way, using a macro, to find based on column header, match it to the column on the report spreadsheet and paste it into that column? I hope this is clear. Steven |
