I have Excel and Word on a server for multiple users. On some computers some
users can access Excel and Word without problem while other users have to
"Load" Excel or Word before opening an existing workbook or document. These
same users have no problem on a different computer on the same network. Any
suggestions on how to fix this "bug"?

hi
"I have Excel and Word on a server for multiple users"
this means that ALL users have to load excel. if some users are having
trouble then i would suspect a leg in your network as being slow. but since
some users have no problem and other users don't have problems on other pcs,
i doubt that excel has a "bug" perticularly if all users are loading the same
license of excel. this smells like a network problem which is beyond the
scope of this newsgroup.

I know very little about how this works, but I know that
if I create a spreadsheet that requires an add-in, I have to
ensure that each user has the add-in in their own
login file under UsernameApplication DataMicrosoftAddins

If ten users use the same computer, I have to install the addin
for each user.

Your problem sounds extremely familiar, I think you need
an IT networking type person to sort it out.
