Default How can I copy/paste protected cells in excel

I am trying to copy a sheet from excel into powerpoint. I want to protect
certain fields and leave other open. I know I need to lock and protect them
before I copy/paste, but I can't select the protected locked cells. Any ideas.

I need the cells to be protected an locked when I paste them into powerpoint.

Please let me know, thanks.
