Default Calculated field problem in a Pivot table

Am using Excel 2002 (OS: Windows XP).

My pivot table consists of a 2X2 rows/Columns field. I have inserted a
calculated field in the pivot table, which seems to work fine for the first
column field, but fails to update the sub-totals for the second column field
(or a 3rd column field if specified); please see below.

The row fields a 1) Market segment (e.g A, B, C) (2) Customer names for
each market segment.
The column fields a 1) Month (2) Quarter
Data: Sum of revenue, COGS, Std. Margin.
Inserted a calculated field called Std. Margin which utilizes a formula
using "Sum of revenue" and "Std. Margin".

The calculated field works for the "Month" column field.
The calculated field partially works for the "Quarter" column field:
meaning, it works for the customer row field, but does not work for the total
Market segment of each segment.

Would appreciate any help on this, and if I can provide further
clarification, please let me know.
