Enter a 1 in an un-used cell. Copy this cell. Select the column of
pseudo-numbers. Edit Paste Special multiply -- Gary''s Student - gsnu200779 "Albert" wrote: Hi Guys, I have exported data into Excel, unfortunately the data format was in a "string" format. So it appears in the cell (on the left) but cannot be manipulated/calculated. If I double click in the cell and exit it then excel sees it as a number format (numbers then move to the right hand side of the cell) and I can calculate. How do I convert a column or the entire sheet, without clicking on each cell one at a time? Regards Albert |
