HYPERLINK() FOR A SPECIFIC CELL IN A CLOSED WORK BOOK & SHORTCUT
TWO queries:
1: =HYPERLINK("[C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\DB-1207.xls]'CONSUMER & CORPORATE'!c11",'C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\[DB-1207.xls]CONSUMER & CORPORATE'!$C$11) The above stated link is required not only to open the linked file DB-1207.xls but also to select C11 in the sheet 'CONSUMER & CORPORATE', however, even the workbook doesnot open. What might be the reason? 2: Typing such a HYPERLINK() Function is quite a lengthy exercise. Could there be a shortcut or even a "Custom Function" so as to use the same utility by typing: =NewFuncName(x,y) x & y being inserted by simply selecting cell instead of TYPING & PUNCHING -- Best Regards, FARAZ A.
