Once you have manually adjusted row height, it will no longer autofit.
You must select and re-apply autofit. Another prpblem might be the amount of text you have in the cell(s). Excel by default will show only 1024 characters in a cell even though you can enter 32767 characters. Add an Alt + Enter linefeed every 80-100 chars if that's the case.
