Default how could i get a white backgroupnd?

I am just trying to get a clear white background without showing the lines.
Ant help??

All versions except xl2007...
Tools | Options | View (tab)...
uncheck, at bottom left corner, "Gridlines"

and in Excel 2007...
Office Button, Excel Options, Advanced, scroll down to display options
for this worksheet, uncheck "show gridlines"
