Use SUMPRODUCT.

Not sure from your question -- do you mean compute the sum of cells in rows
where two other criteria are met? Or compute a sum of all rows if two
criteria are met (otherwise, do something else).

If you're using xl2007, take a look at =sumifs() in excel's help.

In xl2003 and below:

=sumproduct(--(a1:a10="something"),--(b1:b10="another"),C1:c10)

Adjust the ranges to match--but you can't use whole columns (except in xl2007).

=sumproduct() likes to work with numbers. The -- stuff changes trues and falses
to 1's and 0's.
