Default Excel 2007 Scroll Bars

Probably a simple question. I cannot see scroll bars in an Excel worksheet.
Went to Excel Options, advanced and both are ticked but they don't display.
Any suggestions?

Excel Options/Advanced/Display options for this workbook are workbook
specific. Make sure Show horizontal scroll bar and Show vertical scroll bar
are checked for the workbook you're looking at. They may show for other open
workbooks, but not the one you're looking at.

I have a similar problem: I can see the vertical scroll bar but not the
horizontal one. And when I am scrolling down the vertical one, it disappears
at the bottom and I can not get to the end of the document. I have checked
the items in the Options/Advanced/Display and they are but the problem
remains. This has been very frustrating. Any more suggestions? Thanks.

Your Window is too large.

Re-size it.
