I haven't used xl2007's table feature enough to know.

I put the formula in the top cell of the column and then hit Enter, and it filled in the whole column (to the proper row) with the formula and incorporated that column into the table which was made up of all the columns to the left. Maybe that is something that happens automatically with tables?
