Excel 2002: How to add blank spaces to text and numbers
Dear Sir,
May I know how to add 3 empty spaces in front and behind text and numbers ? What formula must I use at cell B1 and C1? A B c 1 PTY _ _ _PTY PTY_ _ _ 2 5412 _ _ _5412 5412 _ _ _ 3 JH65 4 Thanks Low -- A36B58K641 |

if you mean "empty spaces" then =" "&A1 and =A1&" " but if you mean "Under score" then ="___" & A1 and =A1 &"___" advise me if i misunderstood. Thanks for your formula. I mean "empty spaces" Anyway your formula is helpful for me if I choose the otherway.
