Default Excel 2003 importing data via SSIS

I have an excel spreadsheet which runs from columns A - X. Column. There are
formulas and data validation rules in columns T - X, and data is being
imported via SSIS into columns A - S which are completely empty

The problem is, when the data is being written to the xls, it actually
jumps to the end of the rows containing formulas before writing. So, if I had
copied my formulas/validations down to row 100, the data from SSIS starts at
row 101, despite the fact that the columns it is writing into are blank.

Would appreciate any help?
