Excel 2007 Pivot Table Filter (multi value)
My question is relating to Excel 2007's ability to accept a multi
value filter. Here's the scenario; A user analyzes crash data until she gets to a level of detail that she wants to drill through on. Let's say that is a "crash count" (a measure) of 50. The Drillthrough returns detail information including a Crash ID number (one per crash, several million in the cube). The user then wants to supply the list of 50 Crash ID numbers as a report filter to further analyze that particular set of data. We have found in Excel 2007 that although we can create a filter using one of several options (i.e. Contains, Great Than, etc...) we can not put in multiple values. We can not simply expand and select the ones we want as there are a few million of these Crash IDs. Any thoughts on how this can be accomplished in Excel 2007? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. |
