I'm in the process of trying to setup a large Excel (using 2003) file that
I'm basically going to be using as a database of sorts to then import and merge the data from into a Publisher file. Thus far I've been able to setup all the actual data sections of Excel and import them with no problem. The issue I'm running into is when it comes to finding an efficient way to insert the file paths for the image files that I'm going to be using into Excel. The easiest method I've found thus far is to copy and paste the file path for one picture from the folder into a cell and then copy this info into another cell and then change the filename for each picture by hand. For exampe: change C:/test1.jpg to C:/test2.jpg. (I do plan on re-naming the pictures in ascending numerical order so that it makes it a bit easier for me). What I'm hoping for is that someone knows of a way for me to be able to automate this process somehow using Excel as my final list will likely include over a thousand pictures and I really don't relish the idea of doing each of them by hand. |
