Office 2003 Standard (Enterprise), Windows XP Pro
A user in my office is having a bizarre issue in Excel only: the worksheet is "whiting out" except in a small square. The content is not lost - if you flip to another application, then reactivate the window, it reappears for about 3 seconds, then disappears again. All formatting and contents are invisible...even the gridlines are gone. Only the object layer stays put. This occurs in multiple files on his computer only. Anyone else can open and use them without issue. The Detect and Repair utility had no effect. The Help Desk has been less than helpful. What setting could he have changed to cause this?!? Any ideas? Thank you! Erin |

You say the data is not lost, so if you position the cursor in a cell, the
contents show in the formula bar, right? That confirms the data is not lost. Do you see the data if you do a print preview? If the data is okay, start with Format - Style and look and the Normal style. Check all boxes. Does Patterns say "No shading"? If not, modify (change) it. Click OK. Is the problem only with Excel? ![]() I think we're having the same problem. Did you try the office update? In Excel 2002 this problem was gone after the update, but it didn't work for Office 2007. It's really annoying, I know. If you ever have a permanent solution, can you also update me? I have a question "Data Diseppears!!" in Excel General Questions. Hope, office update works for you "Erin" wrote: Office 2003 Standard (Enterprise), Windows XP Pro A user in my office is having a bizarre issue in Excel only: the worksheet is "whiting out" except in a small square.
