Gone to someone's Recycle Bin.

Or maybe not if settings are to by-pass recycle bin when deleting files.

If the Recycle Bin is bypassed, where does the file go? It is not anywhere to
be found.

Remotely deleted items are "deleted", NO recycle bin is used. IF you use
some UNdelete utility on the drive the file was on, you might recover
the file, IF the space it occupied was not overwritten in the meantime.

If the recycle bin is by-passed the filename simple deletes but the space the
file took up is still on your HDD

It could be recovered possibly with a file recovery utility but you must stop
using your computer immediately so's you don't overwrite the space it is taking
up.

This question is not an Excel issue and should be directed to a Windows OS news
group for best reults.
