Default Excel 1997

I know, I know......
It's time to upgrade my microsoft office software, but right now I can't
afford it. So I'm stuck still using my Office '97 edition. Anyway, I was
wondering if there was any way to hide the contents of a specific cell so
that when I printed the page the contents would not be seen.
Does anyone know how I might go about doing that?

Good thinking Ken. Thanks for the advice. I'll definitely use that. It's so
simple, I'm not so sure why I never thought of it.
Both you and Earl have some very good thoughts on the situation.

Excel 97 is quite powerful enough for many users. Unless there's something
in a later release you need, you'll be fine with it. The files for XL97
through XL2003 are all compatible both ways.

As for not printing stuff, there are some things. You can set a print area
(a single range that prints, excluding the cells outside that range). Other
than that, Excel prints the sheet as is. Before you print, you can hide
columns or rows, or format cells the same color as the background, rendering
them invisible. But then you have to set all that stuff back if you want to
see it on the screen.
