Default Problems Opening files

I have upgraded a number of PC's to Office 2007 Pro.
A few of the machines are having problems opening Excel files.
When an Excel file is double-clicked, Excel launches and then doesn't show
the workbook.
I have to leave Excel for a few seconds then, take the focus away from Excel
and then make Excel the Active window again. Excel then refreshes and the
workbook is shown.
I have applied SP1 to Office and this has not helped.
The issue does not occur on all machines either.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Russ
