Default Hyperlink in protected worksheet

I have Worksheet1 w/ hyperlinks to other worksheets in the workbook. I have
Worksheet1 protected, & the hyperlink cells locked. When protected, the
hyperlinks don't work, and checking the "Insert Hyperlink" option (when
turning-on the worksheet protection) still won't allow the hyperlinks to work.

Any ideas? THANKS!

Hi Mark,

I can't duplicate your problem, works fine in 2003 and 2007. Is the sheet
that the hyperlink goes to visible?

Thanks,

Hi Shane,

I'm using Excel 2003. Yes, the sheets that the hyperlinks point to are
visible.

Any other ideas?

Thanks,
Mark

Sorry to take so long but long hours at work. So when you click the
hyperlink no message appears, no error, nothing?
When you right click the hyperlink are the commands Edit Hyperlink, Open
Hyperlink, and Remove Hyperlink visible and active?

No problem! I understand the work thing.

After reading your email, I realized that the "Select Locked Cells" wasn't
checked when I turned-on the sheet protection. I checkmarked it, & it does
just what I need now (I thought by selecting locked cells it would allow the
user to delete/change the cell - I guess that's not the case).

Anyway, it works now.

Thanks for your assistance!

Mark
