Default Excel open file

Hello

When I try to open an Excel file by double clicking on it, it does not
show up. When I click on the restore/ maximise 'box' icon, it appears.
In other words, it does not come into view unless I click maximise.

I am using Excel 2007.

Any ideas?

World's most reported Excel 2007 problem. If you haven't gotten SP1 get it
and let us know if it fixes it. I've gotten it but then I didn't have the
problem.

For the record, SP1 hasn't fixed this problem. I have found if you do a
right-click on the empty screen and then a left-click, the workbook will
display.

Hi Saeed,

You can try a popular Excel file recovery tool called Advanced Excel
Repair to repair your Excel file. It is a powerful tool to repair
corrupt or damaged Excel files.

Detailed information about Advanced Excel Repair can be found at
http://www.datanumen.com/aer/

And you can also download a free demo version at http://www.datanumen.com/aer/aer.exe

We tried SP1 as well, and that has not fixed the problem either. The website
"http://www.datanumen.com/aer/" doesn't say it is compatable with Office
2007.

I have searched numerous forums, and no one has found a fix for it yet. We
are hoping Microsoft comes out with another service pack or fix soon. We
have multiple issues with Excel 2007.
