I can't figure this one out...
=IF(M160,INDIRECT("V"&SUM(O2+1),0)) the INDIRECT("V"&SUM(O2+1) aspect worked fine, but I only wanted that value to show so I added the IF aspect... I keep getting errors in the value -- I didn''''t go bald because of genetics, I''''m pulling them out one at a time! |

You put a bracket in wrong place
here is the correction: =IF(M160,INDIRECT("V"&SUM(O2+1)),0) "pegman" wrote: I can't figure this one out... =IF(M160,INDIRECT("V"&SUM(O2+1),0)) the INDIRECT("V"&SUM(O2+1) aspect worked fine, but I only wanted that value to show so I added the IF aspect... And you don't need the SUM as well as the + sign.
=IF(M160,INDIRECT("V"&(O2+1)),0) -- David Biddulph "Teethless mama" wrote in message ... The reason you got an error is because as written:
=IF(M160,INDIRECT("V"&SUM(O2+1),0)) Your formula is using the 0 in INDIRECT to denote that you're using R1C1 reference style. So, Vn is not a legitimate R1C1 reference so you get the error. -- Biff Microsoft Excel MVP "Teethless mama" wrote in message ...
